In 1992 LinkTech did what experts said could never be done: we discovered a way to weld Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) polyethylene. Our welding process allows us to fabricate food packaging equipment using UHMW instead of stainless steel, reducing forced outages and increasing productivity.

In 2000 we developed a patented bonding protocol to bond UHMW to steel, stainless steel, aluminum, fiberglass, wood and almost any other substrate. Our process also works with all other polyethylene. This patented process is now branded as: Essnar for bulk material handling and OceaPoly for environmentally safe marine applications.
